I’m delighted to announce that I will be attending Dell EMC World event starting next Tuesday October 18th in Austin Texas. Courtesy of EMC Elect and under the umbrella of a Dell Social Influencer. Thanks to Mark Browne for the invite.
Since the acquisition of EMC finally closed on September 7th (and before) there has been an accelerated collaboration across the combined Dell Technologies portfolio to bring new solutions to the market. Tuesday will be a launch pad for a number of these announcements 🙂 I am really looking forward to meeting some familiar faces as well as building some new relationships. If you are attending don’t be shy in reaching out to me I am very happy to meet up.
The general session on Tuesday will take centre stage but there are some great sessions laid on for us to see;
Tuesday October 18th
Wednesday October 19th
Converged Infrastructure: Your path to a simplified and more cost effective IT – MT20
Dell EMC XtremIO: Product Overview and New Use Cases – MT49
How to Position Dell EMC Storage Portfolio (Channel Partners Only) – MT103 (One I am looking forward to contributing during Q&A to help clear some confusion)
Virtustream Enterprise Cloud: Purpose Built to Run Mission Critical Applications – MT125
Thursday October 20th
Public, Private or Hybrid Cloud – Where should your apps live? – MT121
Go Cloud Native in as little as 2 days – MT08
There are many more but one of the main reasons for accepting the invitation is not just the sessions but to embrace the new Dell Technologies world making new connections and new friends hopefully.
I personally think there is huge opportunity now to bring end to end solutions to customer challenges. Only last week at a customer meeting on a potential Dell Networking solution and integrations with VMware NSX, the conversation was able to flow to many areas of the business where different challenges were being experienced. It was not always possible to have a solution in the EMC only portfolio to address some of these areas and all of us at the meeting realised the coverage was now extensive indeed. We were jokingly saying they were a Dell house without even knowing ;-).
Along with the new product announcements it promises to be a great event.
